There are a few things we want you to take cautions prior to your dental restorative procedure that will involve anesthesia.
First, we recommend you to avoid drinking any highly caffeinated liquids such as coffee, black tea, & energy boosters at least 4 hours prior to dental treatment appointment and refrain from smoking 12 hours prior to oral surgery appointment.
Second, If you are taking oral sedation, you will need someone to accompany you to the surgery and drive you home after.
Third, If you regularly take medications ( eg. High blood pressure, Thyroid conditions, Diabetes, Autoimmune diseases, Cancer therapies, Antidepressants, Seizures, etc.), discuss with your doctor to ensure that they are approved prior to dental surgery.
